Biography

Giuliano Tacconi was born in Florence, in 1939.

Since 1868 his family has created mosaics in Florence, in particular inlays (a technique introduced in the 16th century).

The Florentine hard stones and marbles are his specialties and becomes soon a master improving  his talent in the Vatican Mosaic School and also participating in many exhibitions and winning awards.

He is today considered one of the greatest artist in this technique.

His most famous works are the “Tuscan Countryside”, the “Appian Way”, the “Pianist” of Monet and many more pieces made in “hard stone” appreciated all over the world.
